Brent Fitz Rejoins ALICE COOPER For One Show

Brent Fitz (VINCE NEIL, UNION, GILBY CLARKE) contacted BW&BK earlier today with the following update:

"I'm in Toronto this week, doing some music biz before I head back to Vegas. I will be playing drums with ALICE COOPER on October 26th in Indio, California (Palm Springs). KISS has a private event during that time, so I will fill in for Eric (Singer).

Also, I just played on the new yet to be titled ECONOLINE CRUSH CD. We recorded it in California with Silvia Massy (TOOL, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, PRINCE). Kai Markus (guitarist from METHODS OF MAYHEM) co-wrote most of the music as well as played all the guitars. I also played on the recently released HARLEQUIN CD titled Waking The Jester."

Brent played drums for Alice on his Australian tour earlier this year, as well as on a handful of North American dates in 2006. In a strange twist, Eric Singer actually covered for Fitz in Union at the Japanese KISS Expo in 2005.

Fans are encouraged to visit Brent's MySpace by clicking here.

Proving that not all of the media organizations in Las Vegas despise each other, four media outlets are teaming up to throw a big time bash on Friday, April 13th as the local industry gets a chance to check out the brand new nightclub Polly Ester’s at the Stratosphere. With four rooms focusing on four different decades, Polly Esther’s has a little something for everyone with totally themed-out 70’s, 80’s, 90’s rooms in addition to the modern and sleek, Suite 2000. Over here at the Eye, we take every one of our events very seriously, so when Polly Esther’s gave us free reign of the 80’s room, we knew we had to represent so what did we do? We created our own 80’s super group, The A-Team, who will be performing on Friday at Polly Esther’s during the big blow out. You want to know who’s jamming don’t you? Fronting The A-Team is the goddess of rock, Lenita Erickson, who has been heard belting out ballads in front of bands like Barely Legal and the all female Acca Dacca (AC/DC) tribute group Helles Belles. Shredding lead guitar is Kerri Kelli, a rocker who has played with some small little bands that you may have heard of before, you know, Alice Cooper, Skid Row, Warrant, Ratt, and on and on. Working bass guitar, and lending some machismo to the vocals is Todd Kerns, a Canadian rock legend who has rocked out with big name Canuck rockers like The Age of Electric, Static in Stereo and he even joined Faster Pussycat for their 20th anniversary tour! Last, but certainly not least, working the drum kit will be Brent Fitz, who has drummed with the likes of Union, Vince Neil and Alice Cooper.

The A-Team is promising a blow out show and that they will be playing, “Everything you want to hear!” That works for us; this will be a one party you don’t want to miss. If the 80’s and all star bands isn’t your thing, don’t worry as our media partners for the night also have plans for DJ’s, performers and impersonators in the other rooms. Oh, and we’ll also be giving away some delicious Blue Smurfs, that’s Polly Ester’s signature tequila cocktail! Sounds like a party to us, see you there!
